Lashana woke up from her dream, sitting up straight with a shout. Her eyes wide in fear, she looked around still slightly disoriented; the images from her dream still blocking her eyesight. Flames, everywhere. The heat, burning her, she couldn't escape, even when she'd awakened. She trembled as she tried to shake the images away.

Ravenwing woke up sharply at the shout. She looked at Lashana concerned. Although she had never met Lashana it was still part of her make up to want to ensure that she was fine.

"Are you all right?" She asked softly. She'd seen her earlier at Ravens lecture. She understood what he meant but she knew that it had been a bit harsh. Yet still, if he felt they needed to practise more then that is what she herself would do. Even if no one else was wlling to join her in the extra practises.

Lashana turned and rubbed at her eyes, finally shaking away the last of the images. Still trembling noticeably, she nodded to Ravenwing. "Just-just a dream. A nightmare." she said, her voice shaking.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Ravenwing offered kindly. She knew that it could help but she wouldn't force Lashana to speak.

If Lashana wished to speak then she would listen. If not though that was fine. It was totally up to Lashana though if she spoke or not.

Lashana nodded, knowing it would help her get over this thing that had frightened her so badly. "F-fire," she said, still trembling, her snetences broken, "It was everywhere, the whole place where I was. Burning everything, everyone. Everyone dead. Even, even Loisel, Tykell. There was a man, hooded. He needed help. I didn't know him, he wouldn't take his hood off."

Lashana looked at her hands, studied them. "I took his hand," she continued and we ran. Trying to get away from the fire. We ran and ran, trying to get out. Then our way was blocked, there was a wall. Then, it exploded with fire. The scent of burning flesh, hair, clothes, the wall exploded and fell."

Feles stirred; it was midnight. The perfect time to go hunting in her cat form. She saw Lashana sweating and shaking; she was having a nightmare. "What's wrong?" she asked, concerned but shy.

Lashana looked over at Feles, fear and pain still somewhat visible in her eyes. She looked down a bit embarassed, unused to all this attention. "Nothing really, just a nightmare. A terrifying one, but just a nightmare. Sorry if I woke you up," she said.

Feles looked away, tears secretly welling up in her eyes; a mixture of frustration, jealousy and harsh memories. Why did Lashana trust Ravenwing and not her? It was understandable, Feles supposed, that Lashana would trust Ravenwing more than her. After all, Feles was new, Ravenwing familiar. And her senses told her Lashana didn't like too much attention. Best not to dwell on this too long, Feles thought. Concentrate on the future.
Suddenly, a flash of hope lit her eyes. This was the perfect chance to talk to Ravenwing! She wouldn't miss it.
But what could she say?
Then Feles looked deep into Ravenwing's spirit, and found that she would practice far, far more than usual. Feles was willing to practice with her, and it would give them a chance to interact.
Feles looked over at Ravenwing, getting ready for the moment. "I know this is utterly unrelated to Lashana's nightmare, but...I am willing to join you in practising more. Is my offer accepted?"
Feles hoped with all her heart that Ravenwing would take the offer, then changed into cat form and sneaked out.
